USDA cancels $1B in local food purchasing for schools, food banks States have been notified that they will not receive 2025 funding for schools to buy food from nearby farms.

Donald Trump and Republicans are taking money from our farmers, giving it to the wealthy for tax breaks, and throwing away locally-grown food that helps keep our kids fed at school.

Free tax filing program available in Illinois CHICAGO, (WAND) — Governor JB Pritzker announced Friday that starting January 27, nearly 2 million Illinois residents can file their taxes online with the IRS Direct File service.

Snow-clearing efforts in Illinois vs. Missouri Overall road conditions on St. Louis area highways and interstates in Illinois improved greatly on Monday compared to Missouri.
