I have the time incorrect here. It is 3pm.

A favorite game of ours was to see if he could guess how much a movie grossed. I’d pick one, outline the plot, director, stars, and release date. It was insane how good at it he was. Who could guess how much The Majestic (2001) made? Kaleb could.

I want so badly to wake up from this nightmare.

Kaleb’s memorial will be Thursday, October 9th at 2pm at Silver Lake Community Church in LA. We will have a private service in Bakersfield to inter him next to his grandparents, date TBD. If you can attend, it would be very meaningful to his loved ones.

In June he asked me to take his last name, and I said yes. Now I’m sobbing next to the shredded cheese case so I can cook his favorite gringo enchiladas for his brothers because I’ll never see him or hold him again in this life.

Tom, Kaleb was sent the ARC of Piazza’s book by one of Prine’s children. I’m sad to say he couldn’t bring himself to read it, as he was still too devastated by his loss.

I saw this in his closet yesterday.

I’m with Kaleb’s parents and brothers and they asked me to say thank you for all of the kind words and sharing his writing.

He was the greatest writer of his generation and we were so in love.

I never imagined this in my worst nightmare.

I am flying out tomorrow to be there with his mom.

My boyfriend, Kaleb Horton, is dead. He passed away during a seizure. His mom just called me. I’m in shock. I don’t think this is real. Please tell me it isn’t real.
