youre so right honestly bc i did hear penny's theme and it really is more of a banger than the original, and ghetsis's was a sick !!

seems like a great opportunity to download it all to my phone for more listening !! ( also yes the neo champ kalos theme surprised me, i see why it's a fave !!)

an example being like ho-oh's theme is so solid & basically unchanged, then the rayquaza/kyogre/groudon one isnt quite doing it for me. diantha--holy shit ! iris--dang :c

just in the (few) 50 songs from jumping around the ost, i think they do a GREAT job at melding battle themes w encounter themes !! i also think shota kageyama is a mixed bag. not the best composer —sometimes— but a really great arranger—sometimes—if that makes sense

also realizing the entei, raikou, and suicune themes were done by shota kageyama, and like..... i agree with him so much in hgss..... but im afraid his later stuff does not hold up (xy, oras, etc)

i have opinions that i can back up, but i do not disagree that his compositions have so much potential

Got to work on some REALLY cool animations for ANE over the past month, excited to share more details soon!
