This flowed from his extreme pro-capitalism (“peace” so the rich can profit) and admiration for Trump.
We stand with those in Labour and the unions fighting for Ukraine’s rights, workers’ rights, and a real working-class voice. These struggles are inseparable.

Second: Ukraine. Mandelson was so vocal in backing Trump’s efforts to undermine Ukraine for the benefit of Russian imperialism that even Labour’s timid leadership publicly rebuked him.

Of course there are many reasons to rejoice at Peter Mandelson’s downfall. Beyond the Epstein links, two stand out.
First: despite sitting in Labour, Mandelson consistently represented the interests of the rich over those of workers.

It is also transphobic, homophobic and anti-immigration. And note - Galloway is openly friendly to the nationalist far right inc Farage.

If the Green Party is serious about being on the left, it should delete this and state its opposition to the politics of Galloway and co.

Whatever electoral calculation, a serious political error for anyone on the left to praise even elements of Galloway's vile party. It may oppose the genocide in Gaza, but it supports other genocides. It supports Russia's war on Ukraine. It is not antiracist or internationalist.

If the “growing range of voices uniting around” the Greens includes these guys, then count me out*

ASLEF condemns the Russian drone attack that killed at least 5 people on a passenger train in Ukraine.

Targeting civilian passengers is abhorrent and unjustifiable.

Solidarity with Ukrainian workers, millions of whom are without heating or electricity in the middle of winter.

This hatred gradually developed: from ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.
