Major Inspirations Astra was originally inspired by some of my favorite series: the main story was going to be set in a flooded world (akin to Mega Man Legends), but as it evolved, Astra is now a galactic bounty hunter (like Samus) As for character inspirations, the major one is Adol Christin from the Ys series: a do-gooder who’s excited about adventures, and always looking for the next trouble, basically. Astra’s character as a whole is a good person, who’s not really bound by laws. Astra primarily follows their own code. But deep down, Astra is still a nice, kind, and easygoing figure. They may be seen as naive, but they’re pretty cunning. Astra prefers primarily settling things with dialogue, but of course, they’re not afraid of gunning or slashing enemies down Astra’s hobbies, likes and dislikes are as follows: They love sweets, primarily chocolate. They love coffee, they like water, they love reading and writing, because in their times growing up, they had to learn a lot about the people that adopted them. Drawing became another hobby on the side, as they became a traveling merc, they had to learn how to sketch places and people and maps, so they grew an attachment to this hobby. Astra’s first mission was a disaster, and they grew a dislike towards big tough monsters. They dislike salty food. Height: 168~169 cm Gender: They can be whatever you want. They’re a semi-glass cannon with terrible luck. The speed is high, the magical resistance is somewhat high, but physical defenses, despite wearing armor specifically for that part, and strength, aren’t their forte. Their magical powers are high. No, Astra’s first name has nothing to do with stars! The last name “Raksell” is a reference to Lars Leksell, a Swedish physician and professor of Neurosurgery at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden. He was the inventor of radiosurgery. Astra’s father is “Doctor Raksell”.

Background of Astra. Part 1 Astra is not a human, they may look like one, they may have initially been one. But they were modified along the way. The last name “Raksell” comes from Astra’s creator, Doctor Raksell. Doctor Raksell, thousands of years in the past, was a human who was deeply invested in one of his many researches. One day, he found a mysterious crystal, it contained unknown properties from outer space. Doctor Raksell dubbed it the “Aurora Crystal”. For the longest time he’s researched this crystal, many years since finding it, he still came out with little to no results. He became obsessed with it, it’s something that is not from this world, after all. Neglecting many basic needs of his own, and of the people around him, such as his own family. One day, Doctor Raksell mysteriously felt drawn to a thought, one he cannot explain how it dawned on him. Maybe it was a calling of the Devil, or maybe it was from God himself, one look at it and you can guess what it was. Doctor Raksell brought his family to look at his discoveries, because he had no one else. No colleagues, no one, but it was mostly a trap for his own family. Doctor Raksell’s child became the victim of his experiments. The Aurora Crystal experiment became violent, the child refused to accept that thing into themselves. This reluctance to accept the crystal’s power made it more difficult for his goals to be achieved, and it led to the loss of the child’s right arm. But after the whole thing was done, after Astra became one with the Aurora Crystal, they were sort of “born again”. They became something else entirely. “An Aurorian”, that’s the title Doctor Raksell gave them, or this species, rather.

Astra had abnormal resistance levels, increased strength and increased speed, at least compared to humans, but it didn’t leave them behind [Species A]. They realized that with growth this human could become a potential threat to others. But seeing how they grew up to become a good person, they wondered if it was good to do something about them being a threat. Astra had a normal life, up until a certain point, a turning point. [Species A] had a troubled relationship with [Species B], which led to war, naturally. That resulted in Astra fleeing with their caretakers to somewhere else. [Species A] was stomped on by [Species B]. At this time Astra was already a teenager, late into their teens. Since they were now living somewhere else, with no support, Astra had to find a job. In a dangerous galaxy such as this one, a very common line of work is mercenary work. By themselves Astra had to learn how to use a weapon. Their first time working as a mercenary was Hell. They didn’t know exactly how to manage themselves

Part 3 Now at an adult age, Astra is now not a renowned, but recognized bounty hunter in certain areas of the galaxy. Now piloting [Master]’s spaceship, Astra has to deal with trouble everywhere they go, their Luck Stat is abysmal. From many crash-landings to getting arrested by authorities in different planets, to suddenly being a chosen one, you name it, wherever this magical-armed gremlin goes, problems follow.

Lore draft done! There wasn't a lot to get into, but I'm glad I could get stuff written down at last.

Bought a new CPU.

from Ryzen 5 5500 to a Ryzen 7 5700x.

ik it's not the best upgrade, but 5700x3d & 5800x3d are non existent in the market now (there was a 5700x3d being sold for almost R$3000 and that's. not viable at all)

so this was my last option, it was on sale AND very limited units too.

live2d gives like 43ish days free trial for the PRO version which I figured out after actually using my reading skills and comprehension, but yeah if I want to use it beyond that I'd have to pay

I have not even finished drawing the model, I just have the head, upper torso and the two arms, but knowing I can update the model as I rig, it's fine
