Jeanne Holm was the first woman to be promoted to Brig Gen in the USAF. In the 1960s and 70s she was a strong advocate for opening more roles to women in the military, including pilot training and combat. She retired as a 2-star.

Last weeks India Section 99s Aviation Conclave celebrating women pilots.
India has the highest percentage of female airline pilots at 16%. In comparison, the US has about 5%.
