I had a great time again at this years Popgroup @popgroup2026.bsky.social . I got the amazing opportunity to present my findings of ERVs in the genomes of slow lorises. Thanks to all the organizers!

Another great year at PopGroup @popgroup2026.bsky.social and my frist time visiting Lille. I had the pleasure of giving a talk on some of my PhD work, as well as hearing about really interesting research, and of course seeing old friends and making new ones. Thanks to all the organisers!

Back in Toulouse, but very happy with my first PopGroup @popgroup2026.bsky.social. Every time I come to Lille, I remember how pleasant the city is (here it was even better with the snow) and how much I enjoy good times with my friendly collaborators there.

Lots of interesting talks at this year’s Popgroup 59 in Lille! I got to present a poster on some ongoing work with Dipteran reference genomes, and even tried some traditional Breton dancing.. @popgroup2026.bsky.social

The next #PopGroup meeting will take place in Lille 🍟, France, 7–9 January 2026 – just 1 hour by train from London, Brussels, and Paris.

This year, PopGroup will also host ALPHY, the annual meeting of Evolutionary Genomics.
