My son’s 7th grade accelerated math teacher told him that the reason students are in that class is bc they’re good at mimicking or their parents are good at supporting them in mimicking.

My brain & heart are spinning throbbing. A system does what it was designed to do. There is so much work to do.

My niece, Kate, navigates the world in a wheelchair. Yesterday she told me how one of her teachers has a poster that says that everyone belongs in that classroom. She said that the poster is not true. The room is set up so that Kate cannot get around in it very well. (Kate is in sixth grade.)
