More info on how that works here if you're curious! lifehacker.com/tech/use-bri... (I'm suggesting this in part because I'm primarily on Mastodon, and want to try to link up the communities we've been building there, and the communities forming here!)

I highly recommend also following @ap.brid.gy, a bot which will create a mirror of your Bluesky account to bridge your posts into the Fediverse (aka Mastodon)! It will (effortlessly) sync your posts & interactions to Mastodon, and sync replies and interactions from those on Mastodon back to you!

I primarily post via my account on Mastodon, by enabling this bridging, your account would be mirrored on Mastodon and interactions you make with my account (or that I or others on Mastodon make with yours) will be bridged over!

@msmacrophage.bsky.social Really cool study! I attempted to tag you above, but apparently that will only work if you follow the account @ap.brid.gy to enable bridging of your account to Mastodon.

It's a really cool service since it will also port-over the replies and interactions your post receives from Mastodon users back to your feed here in Bluesky!

Glad to see you around! We'd love to see your UMAP-based humor on Mastodon too! There's a new service, Bridgy Fed, which allows for (effortless) bridging between Mastodon and Bluesky. All you need to do is follow @ap.brid.gy and an acct will be created on the Fediverse to mirror your posts!

Likes and replies from Mastodon will be automatically forwarded back to you on Bluesky, as long as the users all opt-in to the bridging!
If you're interested and need help setting it up, let me know!

I was wondering if you've ever looked into Bridgy Fed (a service which automatically bridges posts and interactions between Bluesky and the Fediverse). All you need to do is follow @ap.brid.gy which will create a mirror of your account in the Fediverse as [yourhandle]@bsky.brid.gy.

Really great message! I hope we can all remember to keep these in mind as we work to build a better scientific community! I'm currently primarily on Mastodon, and used to follow you there! Miss seeing your posts, but totally understand if you don't want to maintain multiple accounts.
