What this tells me is that OU's degrees are to be lumped in with those from private self accredited religious schools. And anyone applying to work for you with an OU degree needs to be put in the pile with the rest of the underqualified applicants.

But in the end what I really need AI to do is field calls from client's family/friends and let them know I can not talk to them about their loved one's case. Tell them when the next court date is. And make notes on the call. Basic grunt work that takes up far too much time.

But I always have to triple check any citations it makes. Even when I'm pretty sure it is a good citation I like to check, just because I do not trust it at all.

It kind of sucks at writing motions/briefs. But if you use it as a first draft, then go back and change 75% or more though 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. edits it comes out to the same as when I write a first draft and edit it multiple times. Basically, a jumping off point when I have writers block.

I've found it sucks for legal research, but is good at basic things like going though PC Statements and making a list in table format of everyone in it, their role (AV, Witness, LEO, Codefendant, Suspect, other...), and the pages they appear on.

Maybe if it could do something actually useful and reliably be just as good as some random High School student who wants to try working in a Law Office, it would get more use. In fact, the HS student is better because they can do offline thigs and explain young people talk to us olds.

The legal, media, and academic institutions capitulating to an authoritarian ordering payments for favorable treatment are damning themselves to irrelevance. They are destroying their institutions. They will be — and should be — shunned for failing in their most basic purposes for existing.

As a Navy vet who practices in the Ozarks I'm very torn by this. And with one of the partners being an Army Vet it can get a bit heated in the office. We also get a not small number of clients from Leonard Wood. But we can always bond over how much we hate the air force (and its less bright clone)
