Unless they want to decide what to do with their bodies.

It was explained that the revenue generated from this tax was much less than expected, because the sales had dropped significantly as a result of it. Drop in sales also jeopardized some 2000 jobs.
Things aren’t always 0-1s. There are nuances involved.

Their name is MAGA? 😒

The nerve of him! Our GDP was supposed to be above 2% in 2025, now we’ll be lucky if it gets to 1% thanks to his tariffs. The uncertainty and chaos he’s created has basically stopped all major investments. World was doing well and on the way to completely bounce back from the Covid hit.

If you don’t remember/know, Nancy Pelosi here ripped up the copy of Trump’s 2020 State of the Union speech.

It was a power move, standing up to the vengeful bully on the stand.

Why our parliament is like this? I don’t see this kind of behaviour in the US congress, shouting when someone has the floor. Most of the time I can’t even hear full sentences. It’s ridiculous that it’s allowed. Elementary school children get scolded if they do this.

Several seat Liberals didn’t get was due to vote split. In case of MP d’Entremont, he won by a couple hundred in the riding, where NDP had about 1500 votes. Even Greens had more votes than difference. The riding is not MAGA conservative. There are many such seats.

No I’m not talking about the “launch” of the programs. All things I said in my post are “these” liberals. “They” have committed to pharmacare and childcare, “they” have expanded dentalcare, “they” have made the school lunch permanent and tax filing automatic. We should be careful about distinctions.

Yeah a conservative party that commits to childcare & pharmacare, expands dentalcare, makes the school lunch program permanent, makes the tax filing for low-incomes automatic so they get their benefits, fights notwithstanding clause in court, celebrates pride. Sure. It’s just a conservative party.

That’s what we’ve been saying for months now! PEOPLE WAIT FOR THE BUDGET! Speculating and warning and what not doesn’t help. The track record of this person shows he’s not the monster some want him to be. He’s also pragmatic and flexible in his approach, which is vital when we’re facing a crisis.

The article screams ultra-right talking points, quotes Juno “News”, makes a scandal out of nothing, while briefly mentioning that with all these mesures, total representation at CBC for indigenous, racialized, and disabled, is almost half of the reality in the Canadian population.

One more time: You’re directly attacking the economy of your closest ally, Canada. The one your economy is deeply integrated with. You’re threatening our sovereignty. Your leader has said he’ll force us to surrender through economic pressure.
So yeah. Sorry to not buy the “our great ally” story.

Respectfully, I don’t agree with that. It’s like absolving Neville Chamberlain of appeasing Hitler, which directly contributed to his ever-growing thirst for power. This of course doesn’t reduce the responsibility of US citizens in the slightest. This dictator is the result of both.

Embrasseing doesn’t even begin to describe what their country is going through. Similar to what I feel when I hear another scandal happening in Russia. I don’t think “it’s embarrassing”. That’s just how they are now. It’s who they are, plain and simple.

I distinctly remember him criticizing Carney for the date Trump had set! I distinctly remember him saying he wouldn’t have set a deadline because it might lead to a bad deal. With his nauseating smugness. Like you haven’t done a single negotiation in your life! What would you know?!

If other countries had a little bit of spine, the world wouldn’t be in this situation. Of all countries around the world, all the powers, only Canada and China retaliated. It undermined all the win-win policies in place. Showed him bullying works.

You are trying to stifle your most important ally, Canada. So don’t talk about “supporting a US ally” as if you care.

26.10.2025 16:01 — 👍 2    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Another awful headline. They’re going to take photos of all non US citizens. Not just Canadians.

How would you know? You don’t have a security clearance! So you don’t even know what’s going on in the negotiations.

THE Jason Kenny? 😳 How times have changed!

26.10.2025 13:02 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

What a stupid headline. I feel like Canadian reaction was “absolutely unbothered”. It’s like the way an abused stops feeling more pain after a point, and gets clarity that this is an abusive relationship. The recent Trump tantrum was an abuser falling into old habits. We have to get out.

What is wrong with you opposition MPs? Don’t you have a single patriotic bone in your bodies? Is political gain that important? Trump is behaving like a toddler in possession of nuclear bombs, and you’re attacking our guy? Just to score a point? Haven’t you learned anything?

26.10.2025 05:04 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Honestly that’s fine at this point. 35%, 45%, what’s the difference. He’s an abuser that enjoys our pain. I’m not giving him that satisfaction.

You see PP’s hands? Our friend’s nephew came to our house 3 years ago. 18 years old, very much into body building, into menosphere. He was sitting like this, & told us this way of keeping hands means I have power over you. Seemed childish. Now I see our Official Opposition Leader copying that.

They will be spelled out in detail in the upcoming budget, on Nov 4th. He said that. Here he’s explaining his reasoning for the approach to the budget. Also, considering all the expanded/restarted social programs within the past 6 months, it’s safe to assume the sacrifices won’t be on safety nets.

In honouring the horseshoe theory, you’ve become the cons. He just expanded the dental-care, restarted negotiations with more provinces for pharmacare and daycare programs, made school lunch program permanent, announced automatic tax filing for the poor. Your comment is rage-baiting and you know it.

23.10.2025 14:52 — 👍 3    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Yeah. That’s what a country threatened by a superpower needs.

23.10.2025 14:12 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Still doesn’t make sense to me. Cons asides, it’s one party against three nationalist/sovereigntist parties. Naturally there should be a vote split there, against PQ, not the Liberals.

21.10.2025 22:31 — 👍 0    🔁 0    💬 2    📌 0

Then the Quebecois shouldn’t vote for PQ! I don’t understand. The guy is clearly screaming he wants a referendum. How come at least ~60% of Quebecers don’t want to separate but PQ is ahead in polls? Another referendum just scares away more investors and talents, exactly like the last two times.
