The reason Sinners is so good is that it’s not a horror movie. It is a film about the Black experience, and the immigrant experience in America. It tells the story of marginalized peoples and uses vampires as allegory to tell that story. It is SO much more than a “vampire movie.”

My cat adopted me 2 years ago, and I've learned the subtleties of how they communicate since then.

For instance, when he cutely tucks his head under my hand, that means he wants to be petted.

When he extracts his claws and flays my hand to the bone, that means he doesn't want to be petted.
