fortunately worms tend to stay on walls or the ground and don't get on you/furniture...but yeah I'm squeamish. I also hate the thought of killing something pointlessly but that's not the point. The point is that I don't get why people scared of insects kill them. Isn't a cadaver worse???

(Although I imagine we're gross to them as well.)Like my reaction to worms is to run the hell away. My sister finds them often in the house and just puts them outside without telling me lol I would just let them be and get the hell away on their own because I want nothing to do with them...

btw this is just a random thought but

I am very squeamish with worms, and I know people have a similar reaction to spiders, and those people tend to squash them as reaction.

but isn't the cadaver of a spider worse? like for worms I prefer an alive one to a dead one because that's extra gross imo.

There are clients that will definitely respect you and pay you well for what you do. It's a matter of finding them, which is what artists should focus on instead of lowering their prices imo. Honestly I'm having some luck using vgen's discord. I was surprised, it's actually working.

In the long run, it's not sustainable anyway. You're better off doing something else instead of art if you're going to be paid less than 5 eur/hr anyway. Like I made that as a receptionist. (which was absolutely not ok, but it's the standard here)

To be honest I don't know how the situation was before AI because I didn't really use social media before The Age of Chaos started. However for what I know of marketing, setting prices too low actually drives some clients away: cheaper price is linked to cheaper service.

Not to mention the economy in general is getting sm worse in these years. Cost of living is getting higher but salaries stay the same / get even lower, but job requirements get higher and higher...

I mean tbh it destroys the market, so I MUCH prefer artists to do better in some countries rather than the market being this bad because of it. It sets expectations from clients that to be fair don't know how long it takes/the intricacies of art.

Oh true. EUR's value in particular is much lower than USD, so for us especially it's disadvantageous. And I know some people on the other hand benefit a lot from conversion, but... this may sound bad but... why don't they take advantage of it and just price it overall fairly so they get even more?

Payment processing fees shouldn't cut into your pay. You need to calculate those ON TOP of your pay. Please please please do your math...

artists please don't undercharge your commissions...

please take in consideration hourly pay and payment processing fees... please...... my skin crawls..... I can't stand seeing these atrocities

I regularly see artists paying themselves less than 5 EUR/h and that's simply unacceptable
