He tugged it upward, breaking the kiss just long enough to pull it over Harry’s head and toss it aside.

“You're so beautiful”.

Harry flushed. Theo could see it even in the darkness of the tent.

“You're. Trust me”, he smiled. “Let me show you”.

“For once in your life, stop thinking so damn much”.

Then he grabbed his wand and cast a Silencing Charm around their beds.

“Easier said than done”.

Theo smirked, his hands sliding down to the hem of Harry’s shirt.

Harry’s head tipped back, exposing more of his neck, and Theo took full advantage, leaving faint marks that would likely bruise by morning.

“Theo—”, Harry breathed, his fingers clutching at Theo’s shirt. “We shouldn’t—”.

“Shut up”, Theo muttered, pressing a kiss to the hollow of Harry’s throat.

Harry stared at him, his expression conflicted. But then, he kissed him again. His hands roamed over Harry’s back, tracing the outline of muscles beneath the fabric of his shirt. Theo nipped at his lower lip, earning a delicious moan, before trailing kisses along Harry’s jawline and down his throat.

“Theo, this isn’t exactly the best time—”.

“Theo, I don't know if I can give you what you deserve. The mission is—”.

Before he could finish, Theo kissed him. Harry froze for a second, then wrapped his hands around Theo’s shoulders like he was afraid he’d vanish. The kiss deepened, their bodies pressed together, trying to erase the –

– for them, he couldn’t help feeling jealous of what they had. Just a little bit.

It was time to act.

So he slipped under Harry's sheets, and to his surprise, he didn't kick him off. His hand reached up to cup Harry’s cheek. "You don’t have to deal with this all by yourself".

What the hell was wrong with him? They were stuck in the middle of nowhere, always hungry and scared of being caught by the Snatchers.

“Lower your voice, Theo”, Harry warned. “You will wake them up”.

Theo glanced at Hermione and Draco. They were no longer hiding, and while part of him was happy –

But what about him? What about them? “It’s not that you’re the only one carrying this burden”.

Harry looked up, startled. “That’s not—”.

“You think I don’t see it? You push everyone away because you think it’ll keep them safe. But it doesn’t work, Harry. Not with me”, Theo quipped.

"Assuming we make it through… Then what?".

“I don’t know”, he admitted. “I haven’t let myself think that far ahead. There’s too much to deal with right now".

Theo frowned, gripping the sheets tighter. Harry had always always been like this. Totally focused on the mission, on saving everyone else.

“Do you ever think about what happens after all this?”, Theo asked in the quiet of the night.

Harry sighed and turned to face him. "It’s late, Theo. You really should get some sleep".

Theo glanced over, their beds seeming closer each night.
