At least if there is, there will be 6 guys looking for the guy who did it.

22.05.2025 17:08 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Sinners, man - letβs just let Ryan Coogler make whatever films he wants to make in whatever way he wants to make them. That one is going to stay with me for a long time.

30.04.2025 14:27 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Because the opening credits for A Different World start playing in my head randomly from time to time, I watched them on YouTube just now. It still hits! The music, the shot composition - just great. My favorite show of my childhood.
09.04.2025 11:10 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0(Remember before this season when they teased that there was going to be some utility behind Play points and then instead did something new with Champion points that was still underwhelming?)

29.03.2025 09:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Thinking about the Pokemon Center issues (and really everything related to supply), if only TPCi had some way of identifying the people who Play! Pokemon and some point system for figuring out how much they play. If they had such a system, they could provide priority access for buying cards.

27.03.2025 08:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We got the Sam Rockwell monologue and the Lumon marching band in the same week. Just think about that for a second.
21.03.2025 11:29 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The episode of Inbestigators where theyβre brought in on a genocide case is wild.
24.12.2024 08:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβve been playing a spicy Tsareena ex deck for the last few months, so I feel like I can say this conclusively: it is not goodβ¦but it is very fun. Current build with Gravity Mountain & Lively Stadium was described as βevilβ At a cup this weekend by the guy I was playing against.
23.12.2024 19:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Definitely seems like PTCG is still primarily on Twitter, and I get why the big accounts are reluctant to switchβ¦but also an opportunity to build a following on here for an up & comer.
23.12.2024 19:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We honestly donβt know what PokΓ©mon looked like, weβre just guessing that we put their bones together correctly

No, it was Ryan Reynolds. Read all about it & many other goodies in this month's Pursuit of Play: www.routine-chaos.com/pursuit-of-p...

15.12.2024 08:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0From page 85: Assigned in the fifth grade to draw a house, Niels produced a remark- ably mature drawing but counted the fence pickets first. He liked carpentry and metalworking; he was household handyman from an early age. "Even as a child [hel was considered the thinker of the family," says a younger colleague, "and his father listened closely to his views on fundamental problems." H almost certainly had trouble learning to write and always had trouble writ- ing.207, 208 His mother served loyally as his amanuensis: he dictated his school- work to her and she copied it down.
Something I'm thinking about today: according to "Making of the Atomic Bomb", Nobel Laureate Niels Bohr struggled with written expression...so maybe the idea of supporting multiple forms of literacy shouldn't be so controversial? We've found ways to allow it for the privileged anyway....
11.12.2024 12:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Pity the guy - no Chris Paul in the playoffs this year. Sure, he can screw over other teams & players, but itβs not the same, you know?

29.02.2024 15:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Hey SFF fiction editors, I have a modest proposal for YOU this year that would tangibly help the Chinese authors affected by the Hugo mess: if you publish original fiction, make one of those stories a translation from the leaked longlist, or a different story by one of those authors!
18.02.2024 16:43 β π 202 π 76 π¬ 5 π 6In the same way that Margaret Atwood made the Handmaidβs Tale that much more frightening by building her dystopia around events that occurred in reality, Mills does her homework and infuses the past into the future to devastating effect. Itβs brilliant stuff.
19.02.2024 12:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0This thing with the Hugoβs is a giant mess, so Iβm just going to share all of the winners and ineligibles that I read.

When will the world come to its senses and finally give us the dark, gritty remake of Bill & Tedβs Excellent Adventure that we both need & deserve?
17.02.2024 13:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Dropped some new #ssp burrs in my grinder, and Iβm amazed at how much of the range they open up for filter coffee. I am literally grinding about 20 steps finer than I had been and still getting faster, cleaner extractions. I knew the stock burrs were producing too many fines but not how bad it was.

15.02.2024 08:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I write a newsletter sometimes. This one features a video of my actual design studio, and the fact that I have my own little space and donβt just work from home anymore makes this whole thing feel a lot more real:

13.02.2024 09:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've avoided posting anything here, because whatever I post would be my first post, so even though no one would see it right now, it would always be my first post.
But my oldest child went and won the #PlayPokemon Dortmund regional tournament this weekend, so I figure that's worth commemorating.
