I realised today I can just emulate GameCube games on the steam deck so I’ve been having a great time with Smash Bros and Phantasy Star Online. I lost so many childhood sleepover hours to those games.

My goal in 2025 is to go back and finish a bunch of games I started but never saw through, and I’ve begun with Metroid Dread. It’s so great, but these 2 minute loading screens when I move between areas are killing me.

I’m very here for the Switch 2 but I’m also unfortunately aware that it’s mostly because there are a bunch of switch games from the last few years that I never got round to because it feels like a cheap plastic toy in 2025. Also now HAS to be the time for a Wind Waker re-release, PLEASE
