They might have to sack Tudor at this rate (not through any fault of his own especially I suspect)

05.03.2026 21:26 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have no animus towards Spurs but I must say I am having a wonderful time watching all of this

05.03.2026 19:07 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0The UK: It's Pretty Good, Really
05.03.2026 16:43 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Your regular reminder that the UK is in fact a high trust society and anyone who implies it isnβt is either selling you a pup or has bought one.

05.03.2026 14:58 β π 130 π 23 π¬ 4 π 0The one I properly don't understand is Micky van de Ven, who is just clearly an unbelievably talented player ??
05.03.2026 14:19 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0this seems like a sort of devastating personal observation with deep pathos, are you sure you don't want to leaven it with some three-year-old Twitter injoke or reference to 90s gaming consoles
05.03.2026 13:41 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0which is a huge relief too (I think) - the Championship gulf getting worse would be some way short of ideal
05.03.2026 13:13 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I am something of a Romero sceptic and think his style is best suited, shall we say, for an officiating culture which often seems to actively encourage mass brawls. but agreed on the financing side of things
05.03.2026 13:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0(obviously Nuno's never gonna win a title but I don't think I'd back anyone over him for keeping a team up, and that's a legitimately crucial subspecialty of management. I think he's great)
05.03.2026 13:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0quite remarkable that after years of making the stupidest possible decision wherever there was a decision to make, West Ham decided just before it was too late to appoint one of the league's best managers and do amazing January business
05.03.2026 12:59 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I think this is right. They also just got out of the habit of seeing out wins, initially I think because they didn't know why they should bother, and a few 4-0s at Preston and Derby should sort that out
05.03.2026 12:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Me too - I think he'd lost his grip a bit and a managed transition could've made sense, but firing him from nothing in September?? Baffling choice
05.03.2026 12:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0it was always more of a Twitter thing than irl tbh (and I was pseudonymous at that time of course!)
05.03.2026 12:49 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0worth remembering that all the options ought to be quite funny - Marinakis in the championship ought to be quite good, London Stadium in the championship ought to be quite good
05.03.2026 12:48 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0increasingly think that the decisions which led to, let's not forget, basically everyone demanding VAR with menaces (especially the chief football correspondents of this world) could be mitigated sufficiently with an official behind each goal who referees defer to where relevant. Henry handball eg
05.03.2026 12:43 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0agree on scrap VAR to be honest - I'm not a confirmed hater as such but it's changed the rules of the game unintentionally and it turns out football fans absolutely cannot be trusted with more information and supposed precision
05.03.2026 12:40 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0instinctively this seems slightly unusual for Irish fans, who I associate with a few very specific teams for historical reasons
05.03.2026 12:38 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0was using the cutoff of "my lifetime" rather than having any great opposition to Andy Cole, I confess
05.03.2026 12:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Not sure what those are at this stage in fairness - you can make it harder to score set pieces for sure, which should even out at some stage, but the other side is a slightly tougher lift
05.03.2026 12:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0as a championship fan my objection is actually they would make it pretty uncompetitive - they should walk that league
05.03.2026 12:29 β π 6 π 0 π¬ 5 π 0more North London football takes: Spurs really, really, really could get relegated? if they lose tonight then it's a straight sprint with Forest and West Ham who I think are just both quite a lot better than them right now
05.03.2026 12:10 β π 22 π 1 π¬ 4 π 1well, today in floridly depressing news: the French helpline for female victims of male violence is facing "coordinated" attacks from men's rights activists, who keep calling up in the hope of making it harder for women to reach their services
05.03.2026 09:50 β π 382 π 153 π¬ 20 π 20I should be fair and say I can understand how you'd have a strong attachment to Suffolk. if the people there weren't tied down then presumably they'd leave
05.03.2026 10:03 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Norfolk 36%, Suffolk 31%. yet again our enemies in the mud
05.03.2026 10:03 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also pretty OP on old FIFA games before they became exercises in child gambling
05.03.2026 09:41 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I find the City arc pretty disappointing because I'm not sure they had any choice but they have become worse in every way
05.03.2026 09:39 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0unformed ramble but i think the death of through balls is because VAR has changed the in-practice rules of the game. I feel like before if a striker was roughly level with the defenders and got a perfectly weighted pass, no one was looking that hard at the attacker's exact starting position
05.03.2026 09:19 β π 7 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I really miss through balls π’
