Land and wealth in Celtic Britain centred on women - DNA analysis
DNA analysis suggests Iron Age societies in Britain were built around women rather than men.
DNA analysis of skeletons unearthed in Dorset show that women passed on wealth & land to their daughters in Iron Age Britain with women wielding quite a lot of influence π

Nine vintage Christmas cards
The lid of an old plum pudding box - red stripes with a green label.
Is anyone still writing Christmas cards? Here are just a few of the old cards I found in this Christmas pudding box. Not sure of dates, although one of them says 1913. There are nearly fifty altogether. #familyhistory #vintagechristmascards

Why I regret using 23andMe: I gave up my DNA just to find out Iβm British
I gave away my genetic information to a now imploding company for results that inspired nothing but ambivalence
Itβs a shame the author of this piece didnβt realise the full potential of her 23andMe DNA test.
For a broader understanding of the pros & cons of testing, I recommend The Gift on BBC Sounds. π§¬
