I was so chuffed with my progress today, but fucked up a ring in the purple circle without realising until I got to the end, so I’m gonna have to undo a bunch of rings all along the green line. Oh well, I’m still getting faster and making less mistakes overall!

I’m trying my hand at making some fancy shmancy chainmail, it’s slow going and fiddly af, but it’s something I can just plod on with while I’m sat watching something, pretty gooooood

inventing stuff purely in isolation is always tough. way easier when someone, or something, takes you thru a process, or for a specific setting

Added some aluminium rails on the edge of my desk and the overhead shelves in preparation for making some sliding arms for lighting/other stuff. Gonna be a cool little workplace eventually.

Like something from a Japanese horror film, the legendary and genuinely creepy Fifth Housemate lurked in the background of every episode of series one of THE YOUNG ONES (1982). I've watched the series countless times since I was 12 and only became aware of this about 7 or 8 years ago!

I recently picked up The Art of Alien: Isolation and it is a thing of beauty, not least because of all the beautiful costume designs by @calumalexanderwatt.bsky.social
