This comes as Trump signals he wants to drag the issue back to the Supreme Court in the upcoming 2025–26 term. California’s message is clear: we won’t back down from protecting the 14th Amendment and the rights of immigrant communities.

The State Senate passed AJR5, a resolution reaffirming California’s commitment to #birthrightcitizenship — the promise that anyone born here is a U.S. citizen.
