Vogel declares victory in Erie County executive race By 10:18 p.m., with more than 77% of precincts reporting, Democratic nominee for Erie County executive Christina Vogel declared victory with a roughly 18,000-vote lead over Republican incumbent Brenton Davis. Unofficial results showed Vogel with 38,340 votes to Davis’s 20,351 votes, according to the Erie County Elections and Voter Registration Office. Vogel’s vote total surpasses Davis’s 2021 victory total of 34,616 votes.

Aside from all the other good news in the big races, this local result makes me so happy.
