Kick ass day. We scaled the dragon and only have likely one more session on my back. Also, got this great tanuki for our trip to Japan. The “golden pouch” is nice and big to bring me a great fortune!

Watched two separate YT videos today that involved places I’ve visited. Can’t wait to get in a plane and travel again. May can’t come soon enough. Eltz Castle in Germany and Hijiri Bridge in Tokyo.

Got to see behind the curtain a bit at Black&White coffee roasters yesterday while visiting my bud Matt. Also got to see some practice runs of some competition hand pours. Fascinating stuff that I know little about. But, damn I love their coffee.

I’ve been getting inconsistent grinds for my coffee. Took apart my grinder to clean and calibrate…just to find out the $5 plastic burr ring tabs broke. Ordered two. Cause woof my coffee has not been great lately. Also, shout out to my air blower for my film for coming in handy.

Climbing Mt. Inari to pass through the thousands of Tori gates we so sick. It was insanely hot this day, but 100% worth it. I could have spent hours exploring all the smaller off-shoots.

One of the first photos I took (on day 2) in Japan vs. one of the last photos I took (on day 15) at virtually the same spot in Ueno. The first was while on a trip to get denim at Hinoya, the last was leaving the National Museum.

Checked off a trip with our photo group today, by taking the train from GSO to Durham. Ate a corndog, got a coffee, ran my mouth a lot about cameras, and even managed to snap some photos. All in all, a very solid day a group of awesome folks. #greensborophotocollective #gsophotowalk

You ever just struggle for compositions at a certain location? I’ve shot many photos here, even on this day. I’m happy with this one, but I think there’s more in the tank.

So stoked I was in Atlanta on 12/28 see the return of Foundation with a bunch of friends I haven’t seen in a long time. It felt good to be in my old spot at the MJQ where I shot a lot of photos 20 years ago.
