I think there is going to be a very substantial backbench rebellion against the immigration bill. Not at all convinced it will survive without concessions.

Starmer's ability to find the exact sweetspot which pisses off everyone is extraordinary. He's a savant.

War is Peace.
Freedom is Slavery.

At some point you wonder not just if insiders using information to place bets, but maybe also reshaping their advice to make those bets profitable.

Except… many many of us won’t ever go back to Labour no matter what they do. They have to remove this leadership but even then will they change their ways in the Middle East, or in support of Trump? I don’t see it.

Discussing PR in the UK with a British friend he said - and I paraphrase - β€œBritish political parties are too stupid to handle PR”.

And here’s some evidence in that direction.

Net migration in 2025 was about 160,000.

That headline 2025 net migration figure will come out in May: it will clearly be significantly below the 205k for the year to June 2025 (est range: 130-180k) as 2025 visa data is now published.

But the 2026 figure is likely to show negative net migration.

The gaslighting propaganda from this Labour government is sending me over the edge. Oh thanks so much for defending the UK from the indiscriminate attacks on us in a region where we started the fight and have no reason to be there in the first place.

How exactly are Trump and Netanyahu not terrorists?

Imagine if Iran bombed Washington and killed students in schools, what would you call it? Terrorists

The U.S. and Israel bombed Tehran and killed students in schools. Why do you call it a "pre-emptive strike"?

Bombing a school is a war crime under international humanitarian law

The UK has moved 12 Jet Fighters to the Middle East.

The UK should not get involved in this war with Iran.

To legally go to war the UK MUST vote in Parliament.

The casualness with which the US does whatever Isrl wants while refusing to end the Ukraine war is endlessly breathtaking

Just when I thought I couldn’t loathe Starmer any more, I listen to his speech πŸ–•

The deafness they’re showing to voters is unreal. They cannot win people back by a tweak here or there or Β£10/month off energy bills. It’s a deep, existential, moral shift they need. And even then they need an awful lot of forgiveness, which I don’t see forthcoming.

I’ve listened to podcast after podcast and it’s probably only about 1 in 10 that has even mentioned that basically Labour are screwed until they stop being led by Zionists.

I note that Starmer’s work internationally has ended no wars and done nothing to prevent Trump from doing everything he wants. Remember that when people say β€œhe’s been great on the international stage”. He’s done nothing abroad either.

It’s pretty impressive for people to wipe their memories of the equally significant war crimes committed by Dems (Biden most of all)

Obama made a deal w/ Iran to stop them from getting nukes, but Trump backed out of it bcuz he wanted to own Obama

For a year, Iran kept following the deal anyway, begging Trump to change his mind. Iran then began work on nukes again

Now Trump is threatening to attack Iran bcuz β€œdiplomacy failed”

It’s true. They could have been responsible for exactly the same actions. Instead at least they know they didn’t vote to support this bs.

So so sick of the β€œMuslim vote Muslim vote”. 1. Is it any surprise Labour have lost the Muslim vote 2. It’s not some brainless homogenous vote 3. Do you think the Greens get to 18% in polls or 40% vote in Gorton with just the Muslim vote? It’s the progressive, pro-humanity vote βœŠπŸ’š

But also a party not willing to deal with it, one captured by loyalty, are done

I find it mind-blowing that Labour and friends cannot see that this is not recoverable. The support of Isrl means people like me and many others will never come back to Labour. Ever, let alone within 3 months or 3 years.

Wall Street Journal: Israel Strikes Lebanon Amid Iran Attack
By Jared Malsin
The Israeli military said it struck targets belonging to the militant group Hezbollah in several areas of southern Lebanon on
Saturday.
Hezbollah is an important ally of Iran, one of several militia groups throughout the region that Tehran has supported in its long-running shadow war with the U.S. and Israel.
Any conflict with Iran risks a wider conflict that could involve those allied militias.
Hezbollah was significantly weakened by an Israeli military offensive in 2024 that killed many of the organization's top leaders.

Israel is bombing Lebanon too, according to the Wall Street Journal

These strikes actually were β€œpreemptive” in so far as they preempted Congress being able to vote on the Khanna-Massie War Powers Resolution
