Happy Halloween from me and the General Mills cereal monsters! I painted these portraits two years ago now I think but I still love ‘em

A digital sketch of Hanna-Barbera cartoon character Top Cat (close friends get to call him TC) reclining across two trash cans, his legs crossed and his hands behind his head. He’s an anthropomorphic street car wearing a straw boater hat and a vest with a relaxed look on his face.

I actually really love Top Cat. A lot of that era of Hanna-Barbera cartoons do nothing for me but for some reason I love this guy to pieces

Maybe the best theme song of the whole HB catalog too, tbh. Doodle by me.

Digital illustration from a VERY long time ago of Toejam and Earl, two rad aliens from the planet Funkotron, but more specifically from the Sega Genesis video game series named after them, exiting an express elevator that’s pouring white light out from behind them, backlighting them.

Digital portrait of Toejam, of the video game series Toejam and Earl again, with a placid sleepy look on his “face” simply stating “Wack.” on a darker red background than himself.

Beloved amazing video game IPs are languishing in hell without new games for decades at this point.

Anyway congratulations to Bubsy for getting a new game again! Here’s a Lucky Cat Bubsy for Bubsy 4D

I see so many artists complaining about inking their work, especially in comics, but like… that’s the fun part isn’t it? Lol

I love refining my sketch into the finished inks, it’s so satisfying. Am I a freak?

Digital painting and design piece based on the Star Trek Deep Space Nine episode “Little Green Men.” Quark, a Ferengi with large ears, sharp teeth, and an extremely gaudy patterned suit, is pointing his death ray (index finger) at a human woman in a 1940’s style military uniform with curly hair and a terrified look on her face. An overlay features text in the style of a 50’s sci-fi B-movie, featuring a logo which reads “Little Green Men” in shocking text over a glowing green Earth and under a small green UFO. Text in the bottom right list the major player actors of the DS9 episode in the style of a classic movie poster.

Digital illustration of Undyne from Undertale standing in full Royal Guard armor, her helmet tucked beneath her arm and her other hand grasping onto a glowing spear which highlights along her reflective armor. She has a gigantic, janky maniacal smile on her face and her ponytail is whipping in the wind. A lightning bolt crashes dramatically in the background, highlighting her figure from behind.

Digital painting of three variations of Kermit the Frog dressed in oversized white suits ala David Byrne during the Talking Heads “Stop Making Sense” Tour. Each Kermit is making a different expression standing under two blurred stage lights behind them, but are primarily lit from stage right. A closed caption below the image on a black bar reads “Same as it ever was.” Based on the performance of Talking Heads “Once in a Lifetime” on the show Muppets Tonight.

A test comic page for a short comic titled “Space Ghost: Host No More.” Digital illustration in the style of the classic 60’s Space Ghost cartoon mixed with the psychadelic additions circa Space Ghost: Coast to Coast and Cartoon Planet. Space Ghost breaks through a wall to find Brak left behind by the other villains for not being evil enough anymore. Brak accuses him of coming to ruin his fun and throws a vial of a suspicious liquid into his chest, to no avail.

I’m right there with you, unfortunately. Even with my own website something like 95% of my art jobs come in through social media and nothing else. It bums me out that I don’t really know what to do about it too

There is a graveyard of broken dreams occupied by hundreds, probably thousands of creators, writers, musicians, artists, who gifted years of their lives to a silent audience they never knew they had.
So they gave up, and somewhere some fan wonders why they quit, but never asks.

Maybe I’m being unfair they’ve only had data breaches 12 times. They’re doing their best with a monkey smashing a bone in front of giant obelisk from 2001: A Space Odyssey that does their firewall work. Another millennia of evolution and we’re upping cybersecurity to bipedal locomotion!

Discord head of cyber-security is the old man with the banjo from the fucking cover of Phalanx for the SNES on the front porch of their offices.

A crack team behind him who have probably heard of the internet before once or twice. Maybe they know what email is because of You’ve Got Mail (1998)

Never knew a site that exclusively employs the wire fencing around chicken coops for 100% of their security measures but here we are.

Maybe next time just put a form up connected directly to the hackers bank account we can dump our own information into, cut out the middle man.
