it's depressing to see how much slop (Ai or not) is printed and sold on the market. To counteract this, at least locally there are art fairs where artists (young and not only) sell their pieces for prices similar to those in shops and other stores selling printed stuff on canvas (supposedly art)

I'm sure. People already complain of being fired due to Ai replacement.

the gaming industry was supposed to use at least a small part of my artistic skills but it turned I'm too artistic for that 🤣 Some people really"know"how to evaluate teams
Anyway, all my former workplaces kinda disappeared since they were based on outsourcing and they kept loosing contracts.

well, my regular job was in apps and gaming. Not much time for art even though my specialisation was traditional graphic techniques. Now, when I tried to adhere to our national artists union, I had no exhibitions to show in my portfolio because... all my time was spent at work.

expert with no use for my expertise. Also did a normal job because... life. Only the pandemic sort of flipped the page for me . Probably coincided with reaching 40 and getting fed up with the 9-5 and not accomplishing much 😆

I did block print and etching for 9 years. 4 (high school), 5 (university) Unfortunately making aquaforte/țintă is more elaborate and costly but hopefully it'll happen soon .

Recently I started collaborating with another artist 😏so far only on printing techniques since he has a proper atelier with etching press, serigraphy and anything involving traditional imprinting methods.
