Hilary Clinton on Trump::
“He has betrayed the west. He’s betrayed human values. He’s betrayed the Nato charter, the Atlantic Charter, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.”
Absolutely! My most cited paper (obviously nothing compared to Card..) had a null result.

Social Europe, not deregulation, is our continent’s competitive advantage.
UNI Europa calls on EU leaders to use this week’s informal meeting to back a mission-led European industrial policy that delivers quality jobs in services.
In my view the Commission argument against regularisation is unfounded as the law now stands. Here's Article 6.4 of the Returns Directive, which allows Member States to regularise the status of irregular migrants. eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-conten...

The nazis redistributed the stolen property of deported Jews to the German population. It was called Aryanization.
This is no different.

“….what starts online can end in real-life violence.”
Trade unions are warning that government rental sector reforms could affect essential public services. They claim the changes will make recruiting workers from overseas nearly impossible and unfairly impact health workers who move frequently early in their careers.

I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.
Stay free
Solidarity with our US sisters and brothers at this appalling time as the modern day Gestapo / Black and Tans terrorise the people of Minneapolis #PeacefulResistance #HumanRights

We often hear members of Government echoing misinformation from the far right
But what will changes to IP do to reform the system so that it is focused on helping people in genuine need? And are decisions being made by this government purely political?
We choose hope over hate every time

Ah yes the old mawkets 😉

One reason that X remains a ‘core’ news and information app is that vital utilities and public bodies treat it as a central communication tool with the public.
Gardai, buses, trains, weather alerts, airports, councils etc.
If something urgent happens, they treat X as a primary platform.
Tell me this is not happening !!!

Archbishop of the U.S. Military Service Timothy Broglio:
Personnel “could be put in a situation where they’re being ordered to do something that’s morally questionable ... but within the realm of their own conscience it would be morally acceptable to disobey”.

At last the #EU seems to be finding its voice. All peaceful options should be on the table including sanctions, dumping of Treasuries & expulsion of US military at NATO bases. very possibly damaging economically inc Irl at least in the short to medium but future of democracy & peace at stake IMO

My op-ed in The Journal on the importance of the European Convention of Human Rights for stability & peace on this island.

Last year, we made the decision to step away from X.
The Royal Irish Academy is committed to creating, convening, and sharing knowledge for the public good and as an organisation we value Independence; Integrity; Curiosity; Openness and Rigour.
In our view, X no longer aligns with these values
“Family reunification accounts for little more than 1% of migration into Ireland. Telling people granted refugee status to wait three years – until their children no longer recognise them – is not the stance of a country that professes to cherish the family unit.”

For the record: as of right now, the Grok app is still doing all the things they’ve said it is stopping, for users with free/unpaid accounts.

Gardaí say investigations are underway following the Grok scandal, with around 200 images now being examined.
The National Cyber Crime Bureau told the Oireachtas Media Committee the deepfake abuse imagery is being treated with the “utmost seriousness”.

The Govt claims that its guiding principle on disability is, nothing about us without us.
Yet, they slashed the incomes of disabled people by €1,400 in the budget.
This is why disabled people now need an emergency €400 winter payment.
