So what's really driving up electricity prices?
Basically everything but renewables, according to LBNL and CATF.

I post about maps, GIS, and environmental chemistry, and now there’s also a lot of energy and Portland posts, some microblogging. Coauthor on a paper on bird population modeling. Reviews everywhere: "She's too direct." Portland, OR

They not only wrote a ton of rage posts, they also reposted other people’s rage posts. Unfollowing took all that off the feed.
I hope things get better for them, for you, for everyone! But don’t feel obligated to follow accounts that don’t help you and especially ones that bring you down.
But so much of the news is terrible and people’s lives change, etc. This person’s posts went big-time negative. Writing rage posts was some sort of venting into the void for them.

People use social media for different purposes. I use it to learn about interesting things. In fact, most of my Portland news I get through Bluesky!
So that account, years ago I followed because they did interesting creative work and posted about art.
Wow, I can’t believe how unfollowing just one(1) account improved my timeline on here!

Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit! Happy March 1st to those that celebrate. Spring is on the way and more daylight for those in the northern lats. Or less daylight and summer heat for those in the southern latitudes.

Nancy by Ernie Bushmiller. First panel, Nancy talking to a logger sawing a tree and pointing to a carved piece of trunk. Nancy: Can I have that piece? My boy friend carved it. Logger: Sure. Second panel, Nancy is watching the log burn in the fire place. Nancy: I'm mad at him.
Every once in awhile I think about this Nancy comic and it makes me laugh every single time. Absolute perfection.
