In 2025, billionaire wealth grew 3x faster than the average of the previous five years, while public services crumbled and living costs soared. This is a political choice- putting the richest first.
We are the only party demanding a wealth tax to reverse this extreme inequality.

Restore the free school meals holiday voucher scheme! Council cuts to the Holiday Voucher scheme are due to cost affected families across Nottingham around Β£130 per child, every year! Reverse the proposed ending of the Meals at Home Service! Around 95 vulnerable citizens in Nottingham use the Meals at Home Service - the Council wants to end it! These are Council choices; we can change them!
Make your voice heard! Join the Protests! Monday 12th January 12:45PM - outside the Council House, Old Market Square. Tuesday 20th January 12:45PM - outside the new Central Library (please contact us after 13th Jan as this venue might change). Instagram: SOS24_Notts Facebook: Nottingham SOS24 E: NottinghamSOS@outlook.com
In September Nottingham City Council wrote to parents, saying it was going to end Free School Meal vouchers during school holiday periods, due to the Labour Government cutting funds. That will directly impact around 17,800 children. The Council itself recognises that "this change may well have a considerable impact on households who have previously relied on this support." In October, the Council stated its intention to end the Meals at Home service, which it expects will impact around 95 vulnerable residents. These decisions are yet another devastating blow to the most vulnerable in our community on top of the other cuts to vital local services such as libraries and community centres. They mean snatching meals away from economically disadvantaged children and elderly residents who rely on the Meals at Home service for freshly cooked hot meals and visits from trained staff who look out for residentsβ welfare. We say Enough is Enough! Nottingham SOS have been campaigning against cuts since Jan 2024, and have succeeded in halting some of the cuts. With joint action, supported by community groups and local trade unions, cuts can be stopped and services restored. Already in 2020 the then Tory Government was forced into a 'u turn', to provide food vouchers for all children eligible for free school meals during the holiday periods. Now they are under attack again!
We say the wealth is available in society to properly fund public community services. We say, instead of putting out 'apologetic' statements to residents, the Council should say no to all cuts, including the Holiday Food Voucher Scheme. We say the Council should take this 'No Cuts' message out to the Nottingham community and build support for a battle for more, not less, money from Central Government. Nottingham Save Our Services! No reduction in services No job losses (including no removal of posts from the establishment) No new and/or increased charges that are to compensate for government underfunding and... Any proposed changes within the City Council should be agreed with the City Council trade unions and the staff concerned and citizens affected.
We are unwavering in our support for Nottingham S.O.S and we encourage everyone to join in and protest against proposed cuts! β
Next event is on Tuesday, 20th January at 12:45PM outside the new Central Library. We'd love to see you there!

1.) Food waste can generate heat
2.) Food waste helps to power our local biofuel buses.
