This guy is my age, so it was the 70s, when he was a kid, that full winter had hit by Halloween. Now it hits in early January.

My Inuk co-worker told me today that Halloween used to be the date that everyone switched from 4 wheelers to skidoos. Not only is there no snow or ice here now, a typical Novembers now, we have not had more than 10 days running with a high below freezing. Stark change in a short time.
