60 years ago tonight, the san jose acid test, the grateful dead’s 1st gig as the grateful dead, in a house downtown after a rolling stones show. several hand drawn flyers showed up this year, as described in tom wolfe’s electric kool aid acid test, but with seemingly the wrong address on them. Star Trek The Next Generation scene. The Enterprise D gang is in Ten Forward standing around a beautifully decorated banquet table adorned with exotic flowers and lots of food. Seems like a fancy party is happening, I'm guessing some light chitter chatter is in the background, dishes and flatware tinkling and clanking, maybe some nice soft harpy music, but this is a picture so it's tough to say. Ok, back to the story, so Captain Picard is carving a large round turkey. Bev Crusher, Geordi, Data, and a very very tall Klingon, all in uniform, stand and observe. Closed caption reads, "I shall try some of your burned, replicated bird meat." 🦃
