I'm very much okay with us staying out on this one though, although needless to say we are probably going to need to be called upon for defensive action in support of neighbouring countries - because go figure I am rather anti 'missile landing on things'.

There's the caveat that we are allowing use of bases in the region, but that is very specifically only for the purposes of targetting facilities that can be used to launch attacks - which is weirdly enough again, compliant to international law, since you can attack a credible threat.

I'm actually slightly (positively) shocked that we're not getting involved in the whole Iran thing. I think this is the first time in a long time (at least within my living memory) that the UK has refused under pressure to join in on the USA's nonsense, and honestly credit to the Govt for sticking.
