I'm old enough to remember that the people they're disappearing were declared "essential workers" & "encouraged" to work in spite of a deadly global pandemic. As of 6/15, ICE has detained over 56K residents, without due process, whose collective felony convictions don't total 34.

I used to watch a lot of YouTubers who made videos about books. Still sometimes do.
Also use Storygraph as a way to track my reading and find recs. It's way better than Goodreads.
Other than that, I tend to just scroll through or walk through the bookstore and see what my eye catches haha.

It's an endless cycle. They constantly take from the average American, who lives from paycheck to paycheck, just to hand all our hard earned money to rich f*cks and corporations, who pay nothing in taxes. They are the real welfare queens, living off tax breaks, subsidies, & government contracts.

Oh, he's 100% going to cause a depression after the tariffs kick in around February 1st. The price of everything will rise, the markets will crash, the value of the US dollar will crater; and then it will tank the world economy as well.

Yesterday I spent the first half hour or so of my undergrad Online Communities class explaining what’s going on with TikTok, which probably taught them way more than the planned class content would have. Now they can explain how antitrust law and executive orders work to their roommates heh.

I believe the general internet tradition on these kinds of things is well known.
