Governor Abbott seems open to investing big in nuclear energy, but continues to give big subsidies to Oil and Gas companies. Across this country we need every state to invest big time into Nuclear and renewable such as Solar and Wind and away from Oil and Gas.

Maybe Governor Abbott should spend less time giving tax breaks to the ultra rich and look to local leaders in Austin to address our statewide affordability crisis.

Abbott states that one of his emergency items is to address the state’s affordability crisis, but yet Abbott has the cost of housing and rental units have ballooned.

Our teachers and state employees struggle to afford to live where they work and deserve better pay and less racist dog whistling from our politicians who tear apart our DEI programs and demonize LGBTQ+ Students and Teachers.

Meanwhile, as Abbott helps the rich grow richer, he has pledged to continue his attacks on everyday Texans who live in our neighborhoods across urban, Rural, and border regions.

Last night, Governor Abbott had his State of the State address, during which he made many false claims about our state's current wellness, such as his commitment to Voucher scams or his promise to give massive tax handouts to Texas Billionaires.
