I finished this so on to working on fishing achievements for a bit! 💜

Mission accomplished! Now I have all the glam from The Firmament! I already had the Botany one and that was it. Easy enough! Can't wait to use them In December when I can reorganize my glamour dresser 💜

Its just hilarious to me when people want "historical accuracy" at Ren Faires. No, you want to be right and feel morally superior. Because if you wanted accuracy you would be in the SCA or just do it for yourself for fun at the Faire, not to be a drunk asshole. I have strong feelings about this....

Not surprised its the SCA cut off for it. Probably to keep things orderly since their whole thing IS to be about history reenactment. I think that most Faires tend to lean more into the Tudor era (or earlier in the Renaissance era), which is absolutely the wrong time period either way

This feels relevant to my comments today btw. I was a faery at Ren Faire and if anyone got mad, they can just be mad. Not my problem. They don't pay for my tickets. Just like people mad about the glamour changes in XIV don't pay my sub. Have the day you deserve ✨

As far as some of the other events I've seen, that could definitely be the case. But to the gatekeepers I say "get rekt" and show up in my fantasy costumes anyway. You don't pay my outrageous ticket prices. Just like those people don't pay my sub.

The fun thing about faery festivals is that most of them didn't really spring up out of response like that necessarily. It was more for immersion and decoration. I think that's partially why things like Viking festivals exist too. Most faires just don't have a Viking encampment or space.

Just to elaborate little for people who don't know. Anyway, my point is those people just want to gatekeep and we should laugh at them and move on. Just because I know history doesn't mean I want to gatekeep, in fact I'd rather we just had fun and not worry about it.

Since people are seeing this: The Renaissance and pirating period only has about a 50 year overlap. And most of the ways people dress, including carrying pistols, more than likely aren't correct to history. You were more likely to see a cutlass or a rapier. Most Ren Faire pirates carry guns.

You will see me in content with DoH/L gear & I don't really care who is seething. My glam will be rad & that's all I care about whatsoever. Try being mad at something real for once. IDK like racism or transphobia or literally anything else you should actually be mad at? Literally pick a real topic.

I've been going to Faire for 20 years now and it wouldn't be as fun without furries, Trekkies, all sorts of magical fantasy folk, and other various cosplayers. Everyone is welcome! Which is the vibe I bring to the glamour function too. Why are people so pressed about more fun lmfao

People mad about the glamour changes removing "class ID" or w/e have the same energy as people being mad about furries at the Renaissance Festival while being dressed as a pirate screaming for historical accuracy. That's goofy behavior and I'm not sorry. Things are allowed to be fun for everyone
