I predict that Mayor Eric Adams and Andrew Cuomo’s desperate attempts to politicize the midtown shooting against Zohran Mamdani will backfire badly, because most voters will recognize that the shooting has nothing to do with Mamdani (who is not yet mayor) or his proposed NYPD reforms.
