Thanks Kelly, really appreciate you saying that. I like leaving a bit of room for the viewer’s eyes to wander, nature rarely gives us just one focal point either.

This piece depicts a mill and a small dam. While the canvas is modest in scale, there’s plenty for the eye to linger on. The water appears nearly still, except for the faint waves caused by the drop over the dam. A quiet moment at the water’s edge. The beech tree leans out across the river like it’s reaching for something just beyond the fog. Everything feels still, just light, leaves, and the slow drift of morning air. Can you feel the quiet in it?
