My perhaps controversial assessment is that when you share the propaganda of your enemies to call it out or to mock it… you’re still spreading their propaganda and maybe doing exactly what they hope you’ll do.

When I was 26 my daughter's daycare begged me to join the board cause they needed more members and it was fine if i had no experience. I wanted to help. At the first meeting I attended the director announced she was quiting and also we were a year behind payroll taxes. I think I'm still traumatized.

I started an econ degree cause i wanted to go to law school. Decided I didn't want to keep taking econ on accout of it literally being religion for greedy white men, and ultimately gave up on law cause we didn't want to leave the state. It really sucks there no law school in state.

The gulf is not just between people who oppose this and people who are indifferent to it or reluctantly accept it in support of immigration policy or see it as collateral damage.

Thanks @carrieinfbx.bsky.social for posting this one. An out of state newspaper conglomerate caved to political pressure and lost virtually its entire editorial and reporting staff from all three publications it owns in Alaska. It hurts to see good people out of work, but they stood for the truth.

A thing to keep in mind about over half of internet traffic being bots now is that all this manufactured content designed to stoke engagement and make people outraged isn't in fact constrained to things you disagree with.
