A few days ago the love of my life turned 30. We celebrated at home with a little orange cat cake inspired by her own boi. Then we played a game, looked into Sterling silver rings and ended in a cosy bath + a purple melt that stained for 3 whole scrubs. 😂 Here's to many more. 💜

A Panorama of the incredible Crater Lake National Park, looking across the deep blue waters that fill the volcanic caldera, to the magical Wizard Island in the lake. The foreground has large trees to the left and right. The sun is off and behind to the right, so the green trees on the left are in full sun, while the ones on the right are mostly in shade, with some green highlighted limbs. Below them is the lake surface, with it's incredibly deep blue waters. Some clouds are relflected in the water, which has subtle patterns of waves playing across the vast surface. Other areas of the lake surface show a less reflective surface due to steady streams of wind lightly disturbing the surface. Wizard Island is about in the center of the image, with is rocky, forested flanks, and reddened top crater. From this vantage, the island's top is high enough to superimpose over the far distant greater caldera rim about 3.5 miles away (5.6km). The tall crater rim and caldera cliffs drop dramatically down to the lake shore from center far left, to upper center far right. Some of the steep cliffs have trees hanging on in places, especially dense at the point to the far left. Further along the shore to the, near where the island almost touches the shore, there are small snow banks left over from Winter, this photo was taken in late August. High peaks in the caldera rim stand out above, the nearest is Hillman Peak at 8,151 feet (2,484m). From that peak the rim gently curves downward before rising to another prominence, and curving down once again. Above the final curve can be seen distant mountain peaks. The sky above is a light blue with a few banks of puffy white clouds.

For #Stunday I'll drop this off from my very quick visit to #CraterLake National Park. I was in the area, so how could I not?
Compression will probably negate all the incredible detail I got out of this shot, which I need to print large format!
