The core error:

Separatists doing "easy math" treat federal taxes as "lost money" instead of the cost of operating a country.

You wouldn’t eliminate a level of government.

You’d replace Ottawa with Edmonton. (Or Washington, DC, who would have even greater control over natural resource revenue.)

If you spend time in the bad place, you’re hearing this claim a lot:

It's an amazing coincidence that her numbers for newcomers * the cost per new comer almost perfectly equal her deficit. That really is something. I'm sure that more than doubling the administrative overhead in healthcare hasn't contributed at all then. My mistake.

Wherein Smith claims that "newcomers" are costing the province $9 Billion in social programs.

In order for that to be true, every single newcomer would have to be accessing social programs that many don't even have access to.

These are evil misrepresentations.

One thing that has become obvious after budget day: govt finally has to admit how much they have BLOATED the HC admin!

Looks like it took AHS from about 3.5% admin costs to 6.7% admin costs (or more)!!!

That's INSANE!

(we still don't know the AHS BLOW-UP costs yet)
