To be fair, I tried coding in the past in multiple different engines so it's not entirely accurate to say this is my first attempt at something like this

It's just the first successful one lol

Mileage may vary here, but if people were ever wondering how long a "first solo game" can take, just add another 30-40 hours to this give or take by the time I put the finishing touches on it

Aseprite is the Linux of pixel programs, I feel. I've got like 6,500 hours using it now and still feel like only half of what it offers is useful and to get it there I was still customizing the experience for at least 100+ hours of that time
