I just blocked two people who were like “we need to see the bodies of blown up children for people to get how serious this is,” and as a former human rights lawyer I cannot tell you how wrong that is.

Do not inflict bystander trauma on people. It will make them shut down and go numb, not wake up.

One disgusting aspect of all this is Trump fundamentally doesn’t care about it at all. He barely knows where any of these places are. He likes cash in brown envelopes and being on TV as Mr Big Important Guy. He’s just willing to pull any lever he thinks might keep that stuff flowing indefinitely.

He knows exactly what’s happening and unless he says otherwise the only conclusion is that he supports whatever his king does.

The real story is that foreign govts try to "interfere" all the time. In 2020 and 2024 we had mechanisms to catch them, call them out, & mitigate damage. Now, those mechanims are gone & the Trump admin would prefer to exploit "foreign interference" to justify a federal take-over of elections.

It would be helpful to have an opposition leadership made up of actual opposition and actual leaders
