Curious how many people out there realized that they were autistic only after a child's diagnosis, or understood their autistic child/themselves all the better bc of trait overlap. Does this describe you?

We've been able to draw on experiences and advice from our brilliant autistic family and friends, and have developed our material based on feedback from parent focus groups. Our aim was to create a resource which promotes understanding and empowers parents to support their autistic kids. (3/4)

We've both watched other families struggle to access diagnosis and find support for their autistic kids - and between us we thought we might have the skills to do something to help. We've been working on fraut for a year, with encouragement from Tony's GP practice and our local Autism Hub. (2/4)

Ahead of the Android launch of the fraut app, here's a thread about who we are and why we made an autism support app.
𧡠We're Tony and Beth. When we're not developing software, we have other jobs - Tony is a GP and Beth is a lecturer. We're both autistic, with neurodivergent kids. (1/4)
A very long thread, and all of it is excellent. Proper information - and hope! - for parents of autistic kids can be life-changing.
27.09.2025 15:14 β π 8 π 7 π¬ 0 π 0Just because we're new here - these are things we believe:
Nothing about us without us;
Trans rights are human rights;
Black autistic experiences need to be amplified;
Paracetamol and vaccines do not cause autism;
ABA is abuse.
Please feel free to block us if you disagree. π
Ooh...! Now trying to resist the Many Exciting Rabbit-holes...!

We've received 5* feedback from all of our tester groups, so it's time for us to send fraut out into the world.
