✈️ A new control tower for London Airport (now Heathrow) in 1955.

Designed by Frederick Gibberd, this 127-foot tower opened on 1 April 1955. He later designed Terminal 2, Building 3, and Terminal 1.

All have since been replaced, but they were part of Heathrow’s story.
