He says the Pentagon's new media policy makes it impossible to be a journalist, which means finding out what's really going on behind the scenes and not accepting wholesale what any government or administration says.

Soliciting information from officials is a journalist's job.

The Pentagon's new press policy would make reporters "stenographers parroting press releases, not watchdogs holding government officials accountable," explains NPR's Tom Bowman.

SIMON: I'd rather put a gun in my mouth.

#BreadTube was always LiberalTube, which is a gradual realization I've come to further away I get from watching video essays as a pastime on YouTube. What's going on with Contrapoints to that degree is not shocking, but an expectation.

Students practicing their First Amendment rights by reporting, writing op-eds, or protesting shouldn’t concern ICE — or any other federal agency, for that matter.
