I don’t use AI to find and then cite sources for me. I use it to analyze fixed data sets; when it draws conclusions, it pin cites to information (which I have provided it myself). There are a lot of ways to use AI (a lot of which are trash). It can be useful if closely controlled.

Not if you are using it correctly. If you are asking it to research for you and it pulls a bunch of random crap from the internet, then yes… if you are using it to analyze and draw conclusions from a finite set of data that you have provided it, that’s different.

IMO, AI is fine if you are using it for utility, efficiency, research, etc. but this level of personalization and attachment to AI is scary AF.
