Bird Flu Is Becoming a Bigger Threat It's one mutation away from getting more dangerous to humans.

The H5N1 bird flu virus is just one mutation away from potentially binding to human cells, increasing the risk of person-to-person transmission. While the virus isn’t yet spreading between humans, experts warn that any further mutations could make it capable of triggering a pandemic.
