By engaging with communities and local contexts, I hope to truly embody and deepen these practices.

That is why I want to discover a new version of myself in 2025. Fortunately, this year provides many opportunities for me to be involved in the planning and management of art triennials and design events that explore complexity, and I am determined to approach them with sincerity.

It was a mentally challenging year, as I struggled with the disconnect between my personal thoughts on change and my professional approach.

In 2024, I found myself frustrated by the authority I seemed to embody as a middle-aged man, even as my thinking leaned more toward decentralization and moving away from traditional masculinity.

Today I went to Seto city to hand out flyers for the Art Festival.It is honestly nice to meet you in person, and get a reaction. I'm fired up for the first weekend of the new year, which will be a series of events!

Tomorrow, I’ll join a half-day prototyping workshop as an advisor. The focus is on observing how children learn through play with toys created during the session, rather than just whether they play with them.

X now displays many evil advertisements, and healthy communication feels difficult.The information space is no longer safe.

Care philosophy is evolving beyond humans to include plants, animals, and objects in a global ecosystem. This shift redefines inclusive design, where transition, circular, and speculative design converge to address complex challenges.

The beauty of craftsmanship lies in its ability to transcend borders, eras, and cultures. We collaborated with HIVE EARTH, an architectural engineering firm from Ghana, to create a rammed-earth test piece using soil from Seto City. We’re excited to see what scale we can achieve next year.

Those who have the environment and the spirit to say, "Come and stay with us and we'll lend you a place to stay," are strong. Whoever it is that you are inviting, be it an artist or someone else. Activities that do not fit into business are based on diverse relationships of trust.

The impression changes dramatically depending on whether it is "design for urbanism" or "design
for community.Our project in Arimatsu is the latter.We are not trying to transform the city itself or its behavior, but to transform the relationships and values that take place in the area.
