An opinion I pretty firmly hold is that everyone should make a song, paint a painting, act in something, and write a book even if all of those things end up being objectively terrible

i'm a weird instance of writer because i don't really think my specific thoughts have all that much value, but i like to express them anyway. though maybe others feel that way too!

i really need to get my blog up - i have a lot of yapping in my brain that i don't want to spam on my socials (well... spam tumblr, specifically. most sites these days aren't built for text walls. sad)

Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams

there is something comedic about the whole twitter vs bsky thing where each time twitter makes a bad move suddenly inactive accounts here start posting again though

anyway, boo. guess i'll lock my acc there. i haven't used it for a long time but i still browse on it, but it's easy for me to say because i'm not really concerned about an audience right now aha

twitter doing the nth bad move (edit/ai button on image posts) but i sort of lost faith majority of artists are willing to migrate elsewhere (if it may sacrifice the biggest potential audience). there will probably be another small migration here but will it last...?

okay this is probably not that rare but this is a novella so it'll be 50k (max). and i might be committing a minor writing crime since it's relevant to the main character's past so she could easily think about it more often. but no. you get to hear it only when the other character does

*writes a scene 40k words in that finally answers a question the reader will likely be curious about from the end of ch1 so long as they catch the allusion* excellent
