A life of social work and friends - Eileen Younghusband - LSE History Eileen Younghusband was a highly respected social work practitioner who pioneered social work training. Her career in social work education began in the 1930s and continued until her death in 1981.

Eileen focused upon standards in social work and lectured in social administration at the LSE.

Cycing to Suffrage "Cycling to Suffrage: The Bicycle and Women's Rights, 1890-1914" is a multi-platform project by Dr Sheila Hanlon focused on cycling and women's liberation.

She was an early cyclist. Bicycles were a source of freedom to women in the early 20th century and used by many suffrage campaigners.

In this 1965 letters she sends a large package to Mrs Ramelson and looks for items in the library on Lydia Becker. More of her work can be heard in a 1976 Suffrage interview, which you can listen to online.
