Christmas present for my wife is me refurbishing an early 1900's GE electric iron.

The body was rusty and the handle didn't look great either. It had been on our back porch for many years and looked it. Evaporust and wire brushing the body and a shellac finish on the handle. (Decorative only)

Power outage on the shortest day of the year. The longest outage I've ever experienced in San Francisco. No power since yesterday afternoon and estimate for restoration is 3:45pm today. At least our fireplace works. #sanfrancisco #poweroutage

One of my longtime friends (decades) lives in Two Harbors. Seeing this photo ... I really need to visit him there.

One on my favorite memories from crossing the Pacific in a 37' boat was the silence while sitting in the cockpit with my captain at night.

The joy of the prospect
